Also my mother *turns and leaves every light on, uses the washing mashine less than half filled on principle (“the clothes don’t get as clean if they have no space to tumble around”), never unplugs a charger, has the tv on almost 24/7, leaves the fan on all summer, even when no one is at home, because it cools down the room, and then leaves the door open because it’s too cold inside, uses all my hot water while washing my dishes in running water, yells at me for asking her to stop*
